Nova Biotech provides service and sales support for Uv/Vis Spectrophotometers, Spectrofluorometers, Microplate Readers, FTIR, PCR, HPLC, FPLC and Temperature Control instruments across the U.S. and Canada and beyond. In addition, we are the authorized sales and service providers for Gilford and Unico spectrophotometers. Our offices and depot repair facilities are located in San Diego, CA. Our Field Service Engineers located across the country provide local on-site service. We have more than 25 years of experience servicing biotech and biomedical instrumentation.

Developing Relationships with Our Customers. . . Our goal is to provide quality instrument repairs, calibration, maintenance and sales support to our customers at reasonable prices and to provide service that is both professional and personal.

Customized Service. . . Nova Biotech provides both on-site and depot service for a variety of spectrophotometers, spectrofluorometers, microplate reader systems and other optical devices. We offer annual Service Contracts that range from total coverage, to annual periodic maintenance, to performance validation. If you need service only occasionally, our Demand Service program offers calibration and repair services on an “as needed” basis without sacrificing quality, support or response time. Our demand rates are typically 30—40% lower than the rates of the major instrument companies, and our 25 years of experience means you can count on our reliable and affordable service.

Gilford Spectrophotometers. . . In 1997, Nova Biotech assumed the service responsibility for the entire Gilford spectroscopy product line, which was previously sold and serviced worldwide by Ciba Corning. We offer a full array of service options for all Gilford products. We also carry a complete line of lamps, accessories, and specialty cuvettes, plus complete refurbished Gilford systems. Nova Biotech can provide your lab with on-site service, mail-in depot service, service contracts, and performance certifications for all the Gilford spectroscopy instruments.

New Spectrophotometers Sales & Service. . . We are pleased to represent Unico™ spectrophotometers here in the Western United States. Not only do we sell Unico™ spectrophotometers, Nova Biotech is the factory authorized service provider for Unico in the U.S. These instruments offer excellent performance at affordable prices. Metrology. . . Nova Biotech offers calibration, performance testing and performance certifications for all major brands of uv/vis spectrophotometers, microplate systems, FTIR and PCR systems. Our metrology program offers the accuracy and traceability of NIST (National Institute Standards & Technology) standards. This saves you the time consuming and costly investment in test materials and procedure development. We can provide one-time testing, or develop an ongoing annual program for one or all of your instruments. We also offer our own line of NIST traceable standards for routine customer testing of uv/vis instruments and microplate systems.

Lamps. . . We carry a complete line of source lamps for all your laboratory equipment. Because we purchase directly from the lamp manufacturers and manufacture our own line of source lamps, we offer excellent pricing and quick delivery. We will be sure to provide the correct lamp for your application, provide it to you in a timely manner and we offer great prices too.

Cuvettes. . . Nova Biotech carries a full line of quartz and glass cuvettes for all brands of spectrophotometers and spectrofluorometers. We will help you determine the correct cuvette for your application and quickly get the cuvette to your lab — and provide both at prices 20–30% lower than the major suppliers.

Service Department Outsourcing . . . Does your company need additional service technicians to support your customer base? Do you have geographical areas that needs service coverage, but cannot support a full time service engineer? The Nova Biotech service outsourcing programs can help. We can augment your present service department by providing service coverage in selected areas.
